A sneak peeks of our Sharing Session on Tuesday, April 21st, 2020 with Child Psychologist, Miss Amanda, and Head of Development Class of Mutiara Harapan Islamic School, Ms. Tatum. Bringing Parents Support during Home Learning as a theme, our Parents shared their experience of nearly a month of studying at home, what are the challenges they face. During the session, two of our speakers talked from two different sides; how to make children continue to learn in a way that is conducive and how to manage stress for parents as a support system to the children at home.
Thank you to our parents who have shared their stories and experiences so far with us, one thing to remember is that it is important to realize that the current situation is not an ideal condition for parents or children, however, unfortunately, it cannot be controlled. So we might as well make the best out of it. Children don’t need a supermom. A good-enough mom would do.
We don’t need to feel 100% positive all the time. It’s okay if you feel stressed or there is negative energy, acceptance is key.
Bismillah we can go through this together, Parents!
